Vic: NGV Versace exhibition proclaimed a success
The National Gallery of Victoria has proclaimed its Versace Retrospective exhibition
an outstanding success, with gallery hours extended to accommodate the crowds.
This belies speculation that the late fashion designer's exhibition may have faced
the same financial problems in Melbourne as it did in Sydney.
More than 70 pieces were taken from the Sydney exhibition and displayed by ROBYN HEALY,
curator at the NGV on Russell Street.
NGV director Dr GERARD VAUGHAN says the gallery is thrilled by the success of Versace
in Melbourne.
