Qld: Former Qld children s commissioner faces fraud hearing
Australia's first Children's Commissioner will face a committal hearing over allegations
that he overclaimed his expenses.
Former Queensland Children's Commissioner NORMAN DAVID ALFORD, 65, is charged with
two counts of dishonestly gaining benefits.
In Brisbane Magistrates Court today, the committal hearing was set down for February
29 next year in Brisbane.
ALFORD was not required to enter a plea.
The charges against ALFORD arise from investigations by the Queensland Criminal Justice
Commission.
