NSW: Small business not prepared for Euro, chamber of commerce

SYDNEY, Jan 11 AAP - Australian small business was not well prepared for the arrival of the
Euro, the NSW Chamber of Commerce warned today.

Chamber chief executive Katie Lahey said a recent survey had found only 35 per cent of
businesses which exported to or had operations in Europe had taken steps to prepare for the
new currency.

"Getting up to Euro speed is vital to ensure that small business can take advantage of the
opportunities the Euro will bring," Ms Lahey said in a statement.
