Qld: Woman charged with child abuse
A Gold Coast woman has been arrested and charged with torturing a baby over an 11-month period.
Police say the 34-year-old from Carrara has been charged with one count of torture,
and seven counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
The boy is now aged 21 months, and the charges dated from September last year until
July this year.
Police say the woman was expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
