Fed: PM promises end to blame game after COAG meeting
Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD has promised an end to the state-commonwealth blame games
after meeting with his state and territory counterparts for the first time.
The all-Labor group came together for the Council of Australian Governments meeting
in Melbourne yesterday.
After the meeting .. Mr RUDD announced details of one of the most extensive reform
programs ever attempted by an Australian government.
It includes slashing hospital waiting lists .. changing tack on indigenous issues ..
and combined action on productivity .. climate change and water .. infrastructure .. business
regulation and housing.
