Fed: Australia will become republic: GG
Governor-General QUENTIN BRYCE says Australia will be a republic one day.
Speaking at the conclusion of an official visit to Africa .. the Queen's representative
said she agreed with Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD that eventually Australia would shed the
monarchy.
She's told ABC Radio .. it's part of the development of Australia's democracy in future decades.
